HiVelo is thrilled to announce that it will be running the Culloden Challenge Wee Battle as a sportive event on Saturday 4th September.
Culloden Battlefield will be the start and finish point with registration at the start point.
The route passes through scenic rural roads and covers a distance of 68kms (42 miles) with total climbing of 776m (2,546 ft).
We encourage local riders to ride to the start to relieve parking pressure but parking is available at both Culloden Battlefield Centre and the UHI Campus.
Entry to the event is via the British Cycling website and is £20. All funds raised will be put towards HiVelo’s campaign to build an all-weather cycling complex centred around an indoor velodrome but also including a dedicated outdoor racing circuit, BMX facilities, a general skills and training zone and indoor training studios. This fantastic facility will serve the Highlands and North of Scotland on a site in eastern Inverness.
